UK enters global online university race
The UK’s biggest online university project is being launched, reports the BBC, with more than 20 universities offering free courses. The project, called FutureLearn, will see UK universities entering the global market in so-called ‘Moocs’, or massive open online courses, already hugely popular in the United States.
