Academics’ warning about screen time
Teenagers should spend no more than two hours on the internet each day, doctors warn as they advise parents to remove laptops and gadgets from their children’s bedrooms. So says an article from the Telegraph yesterday by Rosa Silverman.
Many mothers and fathers remain “clueless” about the impact excessive media exposure can have on their children and need to “get with it”, it was suggested.
Dr Victor Strasburger of the University of New Mexico, the lead author of a new policy document from the American Academy of Pediatrics, has a particularly strong warning about 14-year-old boys.
