Niamh McNulty competes for Scotland!

niamh mcnulty

Niamh Mcnulty, S2, has been selected to represent her country on the martial arts mat! She will compete for Scotland this month in the European Tae Kwon Do Championships in Slovenia. This is a superb achievement for Niamh, and we all wish her the best of luck at the tournament.

William Bosi conquers again

Remember William Bosi, who marched off to the world outdoor climbing championships in Singapore? He came back 4th — that’s in the world! Quite an achievement. Our congratulations to him!

student triumph where art meets science

We are delighted to announce that Broughton students were commended in the recent ‘Scotland’s Minds’ Secondary School Poster Competition, sponsored by the University of Aberdeen’s Natural History Centre. Some 500 entries came in from secondary schools across Scotland, commemorating a number of Scottish Scientists; these are currently on display in the University’s Zoology Museum. Our entries represent a collaboration between the Broughton Science and Art departments.

Certificates will be issued to commended students, and a copy of Great Scientists, by John Farndon, will be presented to the school.
