Parent and Carer Support and Information Sessions from Edinburgh Council
Following a successful initial session last term, we’re happy to announce a new round of Parent and Carer Support and Information Sessions on Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health issues. Click here to learn more. These session have been planned with the support of CAHMS and other relevant organisations.
The sessions will each have a different topic focus. There will also be an opportunity for parents who wish more information or are concerned about their teenager’s emotional wellbeing or mental health to meet other parents and supportive professionals in a safe relaxed environment. Parents and carers of 11-18 year olds from across the city are welcome to attend any of the sessions.

Annual conference of the National Parent Forum of Scotland
The National Parent Forum of Scotland are delighted to announce that this year’s conference will be held on Saturday 14th November at the University of Strathclyde Technology and Innovation Centre in central Glasgow. The theme of the conference will be attainment and achieving from a parental perspective. The conference is completely free to attend and all are welcome. They are keen to get as many parents along as possible, so please spread this information widely!
On the day there will be a keynote speech and Q&A session, along with full agenda of seminars and workshops run by leading figures in education, and an exciting kids’ programme, including a creche.

EVENTS in North Edinburgh from 15 June and 20 June
The Muirhouse Photography Group is mounting an exhibition, called ‘Cameraderie’, at the North Edinburgh Arts Centre, 15a Pennywell Court, from 15 June. Click here for more information.
The Centre kicks off the summer on Saturday, 20 June, with Porridge-and-Play at the new Centipede children’s area at Muirhouse Drive. It looks like a lot of fun!
