Chess Cafés, Sunday 7th October and Sunday 4th November
Chess Tournament Cafe – Volunteers needed
Sunday 7 October, 10am – 3pm
Sunday 4 November, 10am – 3pm
The first Chess Cafe of the year is on Sunday 7th October and we are looking for volunteers to help. The money we raise goes to fund things at the school that cannot be normally funded such as after school clubs, extra resources, school trips, Duke of Edinburgh awards and much more.
There will also be a Chess Cafe on Sunday 4th November.
So if you can help anytime between 10am and 3pm on either of these dates, for 1 hour or more, that would be great, just drop an email to: bhsassociation@gmail.com
We would also welcome some home baking too.
Thanks
Naomi

SeptemberFest – Saturday 29th September
A reminder that our amazing community event, SeptemberFest, is this coming Saturday! 11a.m.- 4p.m. at the school – free entry! There will be a huge range of activities, indoors and outdoors – there really is something for all ages! We’ll have a Minions bouncy castle and hook-a-duck for the wee ones, a huge range of sports, dance and gymnastic tasters and performances, drama and magic shows, music from the talent City of Edinburgh Music School pupils, roller disco, inflatable assault course, Nerf gun target and much, much more!
We are still looking for volunteers who can help out for just an hour on the day. If you can help, please e-mail: septemberfestbhs@gmail.com .
SeptemberFest is organised by the Broughton Association’s small but extremely dedicated team, who put in months’ of planning to bring everything together on the day. Entry is free and costs for activities are kept as low as possible to make it accessible to everyone in our community.
