Summer property internships

No idea what you want to do when you leave school or think you might be interested in learning more about a career in property?

Jobs in Letting are offering Broughton Pupils over 16 four-week summer internships with Murray & Currie or Rettie & Co. during the holidays.  There will be an information session for interested S5 and S6 pupils on Thursday 8 June, Period 4.

Please see Mrs McLaren in Guidance to sign up for the information session.

Kids – be safe online

The Scottish Government has just published a revised and updated plan to help protect children and young people online. The refreshed plan will help children and young people develop the skills they need to stay safe on the internet and support parents and carers to be more aware of the potential risks that their children face online. There’s lots of useful information and you can find it here https://news.gov.scot/news/protecting-children-online-1

Support an S6 pupil chopping off her locks for charity

Broughton S6 pupil Lucie Duffy is having her beautiful hair cut off next week to raise money for the educational charity Project Trust, which she will be working for in Ghana next year.
Lucie, who leaves Edinburgh in August to spend a year teaching, will be donating her hair to a children’s cancer charity for wigs and raising sponsorship money for Project Trust. Two of her male friends and a teacher at Broughton are also having their legs waxed at the same time!

You can find out more information here www.facebook.com/LucieInGhana or at www.projecttrust.org.
