Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership — an invitation
Can you spare a couple of hours to help our local young people influence local services? Inverleith Youth Talk is your chance to chat to young people about your services, to network with other service providers and to explore potentials for new collaborative working with young people at the heart of this.
The Inverleith NP has been working with the Inverleith Young People’s Forum and local services aimed at young people to gather views and opinions of local young people. This has already involved young people from local schools, youth work centres and open air clubs, through an initial flash poll and ongoing mapping facilities and activities.
The next stage of the process is the Inverleith Youth Talk event, bringing together young people and key adults to understand the outcomes to date and help shape any future actions for improving Inverleith area for our young people. The YouthTalk event will take place on Friday 11th March from 12.30 til 3pm in Saint Stephen’s Stockbridge, and it would be great if you can sign up to come along. The event programme will be circulated nearer the time.
We have approximately 100 places and we aim for this to be 50/50 young people and key organisations / decision makers and we hope that you can attend.
Also, we’d like to showcase some of the fabulous services available to our young people, so please let us know if you are able to bring along a small display with you, so that participants can browse this over lunch. We are very fortunate to have secured the Saint Stephen’s Stockbridge venue for this event and excellent display space is available.

Take a Heriot-Watt survey on Inverleith Pond
Joy Jarvie, a third-year PhD student at Heriot-Watt University, has approached us for help with her ecology-based field work on the pond in Inverleith Park. She is asking local residents if they’d fill in a survey on how they see the benefits of this pond.

Call for volunteer — 200 Club Administrator
The 200 Club is run jointly to raise funds for the Broughton Association and Stockbridge PSA. Over the past 10 years over £19,000 has been raised, which has been used to enhance the experience of students outwith the core curriculum provided through the school budgets.
After nearly 6 years, Corinne Wilson is about to hang up her calculator; many thanks to Corinne for her sterling work behind the scenes!
We are now seeking a new Club Administrator to assist with the monthly draws. It’s not an onerous task (most months the draw takes less than 30 minutes), but it does really require two people to be present to ensure fair play.
