Lucie’s charity ceilidh
S6 pupil Lucie Duffy is leaving Edinburgh in August to spend a year in Ghana teaching with the educational charity Project Trust and she will be holding a charity ceilidh on April 1 to raise funds. She needs all the help she can get to meet her target, so please come along to St Stephens Church hall in Comely Bank and ceilidh the night away. Tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for children. You can find out more information here www.facebook.com/LucieInGhana or at www.projecttrust.org.
why dont you inform me about normal things like –
what time should you call before to report absence?
Or tell me that my daughter is now choosing her 3rd year subjects??
Im not interested in all this other rubbish you send.

Thank you so much for taking time to send your feedback to the Parent Council. You may not be aware but the Parent Council and its communications are run entirely by volunteer parents who juggle around work and families, so we can only issue information as we get it.
In recent years it has been really difficult to get support from parents in years S1-S4 so if you would help, it would be of benefit to many more parents. The information points that you have raised would clearly help more people too. These are School information points as opposed to Parent Council ones and so we have passed your requests onto the school. The School may post a blog about each point – if you are not already registered for school posts you can do so at http://www.broughton.edin.sch.uk/latest-news/categories/news.html
Meanwhile you might find this link to the schools timetable of choices and curriculum on their website helpful here:http://www.broughton.edin.sch.uk/curriculum-dates.html
Some of the school policy and procedures are here http://www.broughton.edin.sch.uk/about/policies-and-procedures.html
We hope that’s helpful for you. Anything else you think we could help with, please don’t hesitate to ask. If you could offer sometime to help propose information for your year group each month, that would be warmly welcomed. Let us know
