Film event volunteers wanted!

As you may now, Septemberfest is taking a break this year but a community cinema event is being organised instead on Saturday, September 30. The Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership (i.e the Council) has now confirmed that they will fund this free event.
Showing will be Despicable Me 3 for families with younger children in the afternoon, followed by a showing of Dunkirk in the evening (to be set up outside the main school entrance, weather permitting.)
Timings are as follows:
2.30 Doors open – Tuck shop, popcorn and ice cream
3.30 Despicable Me 3 (in the school)
5.30 Hot food available (similar to Septemberfest)
7.30 Dunkirk (outside, weather permitting)
The film should finish by 9pm and the school has to be completely cleared by 10pm.
The event is free to attend. All children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and there is a strict no alcohol policy (and no smoking).
Help from parents would be appreciated to make sure that the event runs smoothly. Volunteers are needed to act as stewards – mostly to make sure that those attending the event keep to the assigned areas within the school and also to man the school gate (the one nearest Waitrose). Volunteers are also needed to help with the café/ tuck shop.
A help desk on the day will co-ordinate volunteers and it’s hoped that senior pupils will offer to help with selling the ice cream and popcorn.
If you would like to volunteer, please email Lesley Kelly on lesleykelly24 at yahoo.co.uk, stating your preferred task and the times that you are available to help between 2.30pm and 10.00pm. Time slots will be limited to two hours but if you can only do one hour that is fine.
