Volunteers needed! BHSA fundraising chess cafe- Saturday 25th Feb

After a 3 year break, Broughton High School is able to host Lothian and Scottish Junior Chess Competitions again. The organisers have asked if we can run an all day cafe in the school for the children and parents attending the competitions. This is a great opportunity for us to raise money for the school fund, which pays for things that the school and Council can’t pay for e.g. sports strips, language and music licences, equipment, trips and of course the S1 school ties. Every single pupil at Broughton High School has benefited from BHSA fundraising in some way.

The dates of the competitions are:

Saturday 25 February

Sunday 26 March

Sat 24/ Sun 25 June

At the moment, we are looking for volunteers to help run the cafe on Saturday 25 February and/or provide home baking.

If you are free to help for one or two hours on the 25 Feb and/or can provide some home baking, please email Lesley @ bhsassociation@gmail.com .

The cafe slots run from 9.30-3.30.
