Parent Council meeting – Wednesday 5th June 2019

The last Parent Council meeting of the school year is on Wednesday, 5th June, from 6pm.  Meetings are held in the school staff-room on the first floor.  All parents/carers are welcome to attend, and there is no problem if you can’t stay for the full meeting.

PC meetings are a great opportunity to find out what is happening at the school and to meet members of the senior leadership team and other parents.

Draft minutes of earlier meetings are available in the “About” section of our website.

May 200 Club Draw

Bringing some cheer to a chilly May, our 200 Club draw will make you rich beyond the dreams of avarice!….or maybe not… Are you a lucky winner?

Chess Cafés – Sunday 2nd June and Sunday 16th June

The Broughton Association are looking for volunteers to help at the last cafés this school year on Sunday 2nd June and Sunday 16th June at Broughton High. We provide cafes at the regular chess tournaments held at the school – this helps raise valuable funds for extra resources, trips, support, and extra-curricular clubs and activities. You’ll find us in the Hub.

If you can spare an hour (or more) between 10 and 4, or provide some baking, or make some soup,  that would be lovely.   Come along, meet other Broughton High parents and help your child’s school!
This is your last chance to help us fill the BHSA coffers before the end of term – and fundraising means more opportunities for every pupil at the school.

Broughton Association meeting, Thursday 2nd May, 7pm

If you’d like to get involved with the wonderful Broughton High School Association, or just find out more about what they do, head along to their meeting at 7pm on Thursday 2nd May in the school staff room.

Without BHSA there would be NO Septemberfest, YMI and Chess cafés etc and much, much less money to support the school and pupils subsidising trips and projects, valuable equipment and much more!  See their page on our website for more details.

Several of the core committee members will be leaving the school at the end of this school year – we need to build a new team!

Getting involved is a fantastic way to meet other parents while supporting your child’s school. You can sign up for as much or as little as you feel able to do, or just pop in for a chat.

If you can’t make it to this meeting but are interested in helping out, please email:  bhsassociation@gmail.com
