Free health event at Stockbridge House this Monday
The Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership is holding a free health event at Stockbridge House from 5-7.30pm on Monday.
It’s a drop-in evening, full of information stalls on a range of ways to improve your health. Learn about natural food and better cooking, how to get started walking or cycling, or where to do that sport you always wanted to try. (There will be taster sessions, so you can try some of them on the spot.) You can even get a quick health check, free!
This is also the place to have your say on where the Neighbourhood Partnership should be focusing its 2014-2017 Local Community Plan.
Come on along! There’s a prize draw for everyone who visits. And if you’re one of the first 50 visitors, you get a goody bag!
Follow this exciting event on Twitter, with #healthinverleith. Follow the Inverleith Neighbourhood Partnership at @north_team.

Concert Band Festival at school this Sunday — call for volunteers
There is a ‘concert band festival’ at the school on Sunday 3rd November from 9:00 until 19:00. We’ve been asked to run a cafe at it, and would appreciate some more parent volunteers helpers. It’s not an onerous task — it just means serving tea and coffee for an hour or two on Sunday. It’s also a great opportunity for parents to get together and get to know the school better as well as helping to enhance the reputation of Broughton.
If you’d like to get onto this rota, please contact hughduffy@blueyonder.co.uk.
